Yasham Foundation

Sustainability Heroes is honoured to work with the Yasham Foundation, a non-profit organisation located in Mumbai, which is dedicated to facilitating education for children and women from financially challenged sectors of society. Since 2014, the Yasham Foundation has been focused on filling the void between children's dreams and their ability to make them a reality.

To this end, they have been providing academic support, enrichment programmes, and creating formal learning environments that not only help the students to recognise the limitations imposed upon them,  but also exceed these limitations. Yasham Foundation has educated more than 750 children, supported 500 families, and assisted 600 women. According to Sustainability Heroes, Yasham Foundation’s enthusiastic move towards education and child development is a fine platform for the growth of environmental learning among children. Yasham's network of students, mentoring relationships, and educational centres at the ground level are definitely the bridge through which these programmes can be taken to children from various socio-economic backgrounds.

The infusion of Yasham’s expertise and experience in the education of young minds with the ecological intervention focus of Sustainability Heroes is a powerful combination that allows both of these groups to improve the lives of Mumbai's youth. Therefore, Sustainability Heroes and Yasham Foundation are in a position to work together to nurture the youth to become eco-conscious and socially responsible young changemakers of Mumbai.
